Warsaw Homecoming Celebrations Tonight
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools are hosting their annual homecoming parade tonight, Friday, Sept. 23. The parade will be kicking off at 5 p.m., with the homecoming court, band and floats. This year’s theme is “Time Warp.”
The parade will begin at the high school and will proceed to Union Street. The procession will turn right on SR 25 and then left onto Main Street. The parade will proceed left onto Columbia Street and then right onto SR 25. The parade will then continue left onto Logan Street and follow until back at the high school and into the Career Center Parking lot.
There will be over 26 floats participating this year. Grand Marshall will be Joanna Allison, a retired WCHS teacher. VIPS include Dr. David Hoffert, superintendent, and Mayor Joseph Thallemer.
Friday’s homecoming football game will begin at 7 p.m. and homecoming king and queen will be crowned during halftime. Spirit days will be hosted throughout the week and on Sept. 21, a “Rough N’ Tough” co-ed volleyball game at 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Tiger Den. Donations to Feed My Starving Children will be collected.
Following the game Friday night, WCHS will host a bash on the softball field until 11 p.m. This dance is for WCHS students only and a school ID will be required to attend.
