Hunger Walk Sept. 25
WARSAW — The Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association (GWMA) is asking everyone to take a moment on Sunday, Sept. 25 to remember the reality of hunger around the world, to pray and to support Christian agencies who serve around the world. Individuals, families, churches and businesses are also encouraged to donate to local food pantries like The Salvation Army and CCS who are addressing the needs of those in Kosciusko County.
Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth. The vast majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished according to reports by Church World Service and other international organizations.
The annual Kosciusko CROP Hunger Walk will also be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 25th beginning at The Salvation Army in Warsaw to raise funds and awareness. For more information go online.
