Maryann Vanek
Maryann Vanek, 87, Plymouth passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at her home.
Maryann was born on March 8, 1929 in North Judson to Joseph E. and Bessie (Dolezal) Vanek. Maryann has been a resident of Plymouth for the past 15 years. She retired from Notre Dame as an accountant overseeing restricted funds. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church of Plymouth. Maryann was a world traveler. She traveled to all four continents and visited 71 countries, including Easter Island, Indonesia, New Guinea and Solomon Islands. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Winamac Chapter.
Maryann is survived by her sister, Patricia M. Vanek, Plymouth; brother, Joseph J. and Patricia Vanek, North Judson; sister, Doris and Harry Neumaier, Highland.
Maryann is preceded in passing by her parents and sister Alene Menis.

A funeral in honor of Maryann will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in the St. Michael Catholic Church, 612 N. Center Street Plymouth, IN 46563 with Fr. John Korcsmar officiating. Burial will be in the St. Jacob Cemetery in North Judson.
A time of visiting with the Vanek family will be held from 9-10:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, IN 46563
