Valley Sports Wrap: Sept. 12
Volleyball
The Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team dropped a 3-2 final at Columbia City.
The Vikings won two of the first three games before the Eagles rallied to claim the final two games for the non-conference win.
City took the match 25-14, 21-25, 17-25, 25-19, 15-11.
Sophie Bussard led the Vikings with 11 kills to go with 13 digs.
Shayleigh Shriver had three aces and Emily Peterson 19 assists. The Vikings fall to 11-6 on the season.
City won the junior varsity match 25-24, 21-25, 15-13.
Valley hosts LaVille Tuesday night.
Boys Tennis
The Valley boys tennis team lost 5-0 to Rochester in Three Rivers Conference play.
Keith Wright lost in three sets at No. 1 singles for the Vikings. Seth Hoffman and Eric Wright each lost in straight sets at No. 2 and 3 singles respectively for Vally.
The No. 1 doubles team of Dakota Parker and Garrett Feldman lost in straight sets. The No. 2 doubles duo of Chris Schipper and Dylon Sponseller lost i two sets, including a tiebreaker in the opening set.
Valley plays at Maconaquah Wednesday evening.
