William D. Sadler-UPDATED
William D. Sadler, 99, Warsaw, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in his residence. He was born on Aug. 7, 1917, to William M. and Pearl (Sieber) Sadler in Flora.
He married Vivian Becker on Nov. 9, 1940, in Portland. He moved from LaGrange to Warsaw in 1950. She preceded him on Oct. 29, 1994. He married Jeannette Shivley on Sept. 12, 1998, at the Claypool United Methodist Church.
William retired after 45 years from United Telephone Company, Sprint and Embarq as a Division Commercial Representative. He was a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church, a life member of the B.P.O.E and a Masonic Lodge, Shriners Club, all of Warsaw, and the Scottish Rites of Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife: Jeannette Sadler, Warsaw; a daughter: Janet Susanne (Don) Hammer, Mountain Home, Ark.; a son: James Steven Sadler, Lusby, Md.; a brother: Jack Sadler, Logansport; and a stepson: Ben (Sue) Bradway, Warsaw; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and one daughter-in-law.
Private services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
