Mayedene L. Lehman-UPDATED
Mayedene L. Lehman passed away peacefully at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, in Lake City Place, Warsaw. She was 89 years old at the time of her passing.
Born into a large family, Mayedene was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Hazel May (Knisley) Main. They welcomed her into their family on Oct. 25, 1926.
Mayedene attended local schools and, on Oct. 25, 1944, she was wed to John E. Lehman Sr. in Warsaw. John preceded Mayedene in passing on Jan. 24, 1997.
Mayedene spent her lifetime in the area of Pierceton and was a longtime member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Milford. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved to cook.
Those left behind to cherish earthly memories of Mayedene include her three sons and their spouses: John (Pamela) Lehman Jr., Punta Gorda, Fla.; Carl (Barbara) Lehman, Winona Lake; Sam (Vonda) Lehman, Pierceton; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister: Doreen Rosbrugh, North Webster. In addition to her husband: John; Mayedene was preceded in death by a son: William Joseph Lehman; seven brothers: William; Johnny; Marlin; Raymond; Delbert; Harold; and Joseph Main; and two sisters: Patsy Welty; and Peggy Heckaman.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A funeral service which celebrates her life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in the funeral home. Pastors Jesse and Randy Beer of the Apostolic Christian Church, Milford, will officiate the service. Burial will take place in Milford Cemetery, Milford.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Mayedene be made to Apostolic Christian Church, Milford.
