Mary Lou Beauchamp
Mary Lou Beauchamp, 89, Rochester, passed away at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Life Care Center.
Born in Knox on July 17, 1927, Mary Lou was the cherished daughter of John and Lillie Wickizer Wallace. Growing up as one of seven she shared her childhood with five sisters and two brothers. Robert Hans married Mary and later passed away. Then Vernon Beauchamp and Mary were married. After a number of years Vern passed away.
Mary Lou is survived by her son: Fred (Linda) Carpenter, Rochester; a daughter: Kathy (Ed) Damron, Tad, W.Va.; a daughter-in-law: Melody (Gene) Schoff, Rochester; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Diane Sims, North Liberty. Preceding Mary Lou in death are her parents; husband; an infant daughter: Starr Ann; a daughter: Marsha Cole; and two sons: Robert Hands Jr.; and Terry Hands; two brothers: Fred Odel; Alfred Odel; four sisters: Dorothy Chambers; Betty Ewing; Maxine Eaglebarger; and Peggy Wilson..
A graveside service for Mary Lou Beauchamp will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the East Lawn Cemetery, North Liberty, with Rev. Robert Rice officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
