Irvin W. Myers-UPDATED
Irvin W. Myers, 88, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
Irvin was born in Danville, Ill., on July 8, 1928, to William Glenn and Hazel (Sadler) Myers. He graduated from Oakwood High School in Oakwood, Ill.
On Nov. 26, 1953 in Bloomington, Ill., Irvin married the former Carol J. Zilles.
Irvin served for his country in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge. From 1950-1954, he worked for EmTran Genetics in Pennsylvania. Most recently his interest and passion was working with registered dairy cattle, which he did his whole life time.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Carol, Plymouth; and his daughter: Kim (Steven Christman) Myers, New Paris. His sister: Laura Mae Lomax, Christman, Ill. also survives; and sisters-in-law: Patricia Myers; and Jacqueline Barth. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Bill Myers.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Irvin’s life at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Bremen Missionary Church, Bremen.
