Triton Football: Pioneer Too Much For Trojans
BOURBON – Pioneer came into Friday night’s matchup at Triton ranked No. 3 in Class 1-A. The Panthers proved it is one of the elite teams in the state with a 50-7 win over the Trojans.
The Panthers (3-0, 2-0 HNAC) piled up 412 yards on the ground to go with 107 through the air to overwhelm Triton. Jack Kiser rushed 17 times for 162 yards and three touchdowns, scoring from 25, 1 and 24 yards. Daniel Gregorich ran for 129 yards and a score and caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Miles Von Tobel pounded in two scores to punctuate the domination.
Triton (0-3, 0-2 HNAC) was held to under 100 yards in the contest, scoring its only points late in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard pitch-and-catch from James Snyder to Delano Shumpert.
Pioneer will host Caston next Friday while Triton heads up SR 331 to Bremen for a date with their old rivals.
