Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Taking Orders For Fundraiser
WARSAW — The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary has begun taking orders for their annual fruit and nut sale. The proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the Salvation Army.
The fruit and nut sale is the largest fundraiser done by the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. The group raises money to support the needs of the Salvation army. Marlene Blackford, a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary explains their mission statement is, “Not what we gain but what we give measures the worth of the life we live.”
Proceeds from the group’s past fundraisers have gone towards various causes the Salvation Army helps with such as rental assistance, food pantry and kid’s club.
The fruit and nuts are sold in pound increments. Blackford mentions the product is “Very high quality.”
Orders are being taken now until Friday, Sept. 30. Orders can be placed through an auxiliary member or here. Forms for the sale can be obtained at the Salvation Army, 501 E. Arthur Street, Warsaw and online.
