NORTH WEBSTER — Join TWF for the premiere of a new PBS documentary about our lakes, rivers, and community.
Did you know that we are home to one of the most unique and beautiful watersheds in the entire world?
The Watershed Foundation hopes that you will join us from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, for a fun evening of local food and drink, live and silent auctions, and the premiere of “As the Waters Flow”; an hour-long documentary produced over the past year by PBS station WNIT about our watershed. The culmination of this year-long project features beautiful images of your lakes and community, as well as insight from many of your neighbors and businesses.
The evening will be free of charge in the banquet room of the North Webster Community Center.
Let us know if you can come, so we can ensure your space is secured with your RSVP to [email protected] or (574) 834-3242.
The Watershed Foundation was founded in 1997 to protect and improve water quality in the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed; spanning from Crooked Lake in Whitley County to Lake Tippecanoe in Kosciusko County. The Clean Waters Partnership was founded a year ago as an extension of TWF in the Warsaw-Winona area.
Over the past 19 years, TWF has worked with farmers and lake residents to implement over 150 water quality improvement projects. In the last three years alone, these efforts have prevented over 556 million pounds of weeds and algae from growing in area lakes and streams.
