Antal Marton
Antal (Tony) Marton, formerly of Culver, passed away peacefully at his home in Mt. Dora, Fla. Aug. 26, 2016 with family at his side after a brief illness.
Tony was born in Szabadka, Hungary on Feb. 15, 1922. He came to Culver in 1950 and married Blanche Linhart in 1952. Tony worked for Easterday Construction Co. as a carpenter and foreman for many years and began his own business in 1970. Upon retirement in 1983 Tony and Blanche moved to Florida and returned to Culver for several weeks every summer.
Tony is survived by his four sons – Steven Marton in Hungary; Robert(Cindy) Marton in Mt. Dora, Fla.; Brian (Barbara) Linhart in Culver; and Larry (Sherry) Linhart in Long Boat Key, Fla.; Tony has six grandchildren: Beata Marton, Renata Marton, Jon Linhart, Elizabeth Setola, Scott Linhart, and Brian Linhart Jr. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren: Emese, Emil, Josh, Jarrod, Devyn, Braeden, and McKenna as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his loving wife Blanche and grandson, Adam Linhart.
Services will be held Sept. 3, at the Grace United Church of Christ in Culver. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Services by Pastor Kneebone will be held at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Culver Masonic Cemetery.
