The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation would like to thank KREMC for supplying and installing 3 surplus utility poles on our new Tippecanoe Valley High School Soccer complex! The poles are used to suspend a “net” designed to catch errant soccer balls thus preventing them from going into the woods south of the complex.
After recognizing the problem, I contacted Jeff Moore (KREMC Operations Supervisor) to inquire if the electric utility cooperative would be willing to donate the poles needed to suspend the net. Not only did Mr. Moore say that KREMC would like to help, he personally arranged for a line crew to install the poles. While this generous gift will immediately benefit our soccer team, it will help our program for years to come by eliminating the need for players and managers to retrieve balls from the woods.
