Shane Beverly Booked For Peeping Through Window, Taking Photos
WARSAW — Shane Beverly, 18, 226 West CR 300, Warsaw was booked for voyeurism, the act of obtaining sexual gratification from observing unsuspecting individuals who are partly undressed, naked, or engaged in sexual acts, on June 1.
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a prowler looking through windows and taking photographs.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a minor reported that she had seen Beverly outside the living room of her residence. The minor, dressed in only underwear with no top, observed two hands and what appeared to be a blue tablet or Kindle and a face in the window.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the minor believed the subject to be Beverly because she thought he had a thing for her and she knew he had a blue tablet.
Officers spoke to Beverly at his residence. Beverly produced a blue Kindle. Beverly then asked the officer if he wanted to see the photographs. Beverly entered the password into the Kindle and gave it to the officer. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer observed a picture of a topless female on the homepage on the Kindle. The photograph showed window frames and the officer was able to recognize the minor’s home in the picture.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Beverly admitted he had walked over the minor’s residence and looked in the living room window. He then returned to his residence and retrieved his Kindle and went back to the minor’s residence and looked in the window and began taking pictures of her. Beverly allegedly admitted he knew the minor had seen him and went home and deleted the photographs off his Kindle.
Shane Beverly was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on bond for $5,250 surety and cash.
