WARSAW — Reader Brandon Rocha sent us this video from a police chase that occurred at 7:03 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25.
Ross Richard Harvey, 21, 11531 North Syracuse Webster Road, Syracuse, was traveling through Warsaw when he passed three vehicles in a no passing zone, one of them being an unmarked police vehicle.
An additional officer with the Warsaw Police Department was traveling in the opposite direction on the same road, when the officer in the unmarked vehicle asked for backup. Once the officer turned on his lights and sirens, Harvey began to travel down the middle of Detroit Street at a high rate of speed. Harvey ran through several red lights and at one point flipped the officers off.
Harvey eventually pulled over his vehicle at the 2400 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Officers proceeded to draw their guns, which is common police practice during a felony police stop.
Harvey was booked for OWI and has an additional warrant served for resisting law enforcement.
