Valley Golf: Vikings Split With Bremen, Triton
WARSAW – A rainy day in Kosciusko County Wednesday afternoon still allowed enough grace for Triton to host both Bremen and Tippecanoe Valley in girls golf at Rozella Ford Golf Club. The Lions came out on top of the triangluar, shooting a 183 to Valley’s 229 and Triton’s 241.
Bremen had all five of its golfers come home under 50, led by Caitlyn Myers and her medalist 43. Lexi Miller and Sara Knepper each shot a 46, Bailey Fritter had a 48 and Olivia Keltie had a 49.
Valley had Victoria Biddle among the leaders with a 46, but fell off from there with Blake McBrier at 57, Jordan Krotke at 62, Lexi Cumberland at 64 and Bethany Johnson at 73.
Triton had a much improved showing from its rough Tuesday, with Kate Gardner carding a 58, Samantha Edington at 59, Megan McFarland at 60, Delaine Groves at 64 and Alysha May at 69.
Tippecanoe Valley golfs again Thursday at Peru Municipal Golf Course against North Miami, Manchester and Whitko. Triton golfs again Monday on the road against John Glenn and Knox.
