Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:19 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, West US 30 east of North 875W, Etna Green. Driver: Jessie J. Reichert, 39, Apple Road, Bourbon. Reichert’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
6:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, East CR 100N west of North CR 400E, Warsaw. Driver: Jami D. Shoemaker, 43, East CR 375N, Warsaw. Shoemaker’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:08 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, North Detroit Street north of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tia A. Ilene Van Curen, 18, Nature View Drive, Warsaw, and Britta S. Hidlebaugh, 22, North Union Street, Warsaw. Hidlebaugh stopped her vehicle suddenly for a driver turning left and Van Curen’s vehicle rear-ended it. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:07 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, East Pierceton Road east of East St. Andrews Road South, Winona Lake. Drivers: Lamar R. Schwartz, 38, South CR 400E, Warsaw, and James D. Webster, 69, East Prestwick Road, Winona Lake. Schwartz became distracted while driving and his vehicle rear-ended Webster’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
2:44 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, Alpha Circle east of Beta Drive, Winona Lake. Drivers: Keragen M. Bausback, 18, North CR 275W, North Vernon, and Nicole L. Kindig, 20, East Cork Street, Kalamazoo, Mich. Kindig backed her vehicle out of a parking stall and stopped; at the same time, Bausback attempted to pull his vehicle into a parking space and it collided with Kindig’s. Damage up to $5,000.
