Kid Olympics Takes Place Saturday
SYRACUSE — The inaugural Kid Olympics will take place this Saturday at the Harold Schrock Athletic Complex.
Boys and girls in grades K-5 are invited to participate. The event is scheduled for Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Participants may compete in any or all events of their choosing. Medals will be awarded for boy and girl winners in each division. Grades will be based on the 2016-2017 academic year.
Events include: 40-yard dash, distance run, baseball/softball toss, broad jump, soccer kick, obstacle course and hurdles.
Fee is $5 per child and those interested can register now at the Lakeland Youth Center or Syracuse Community Center. Registrations will also be accepted on the day of the event.
