FORD COUNTY, KAN. — Firefighters are used to calls about a kitten stuck up in a tree, but how about a kitten stuck in a toilet?
That was exactly the kind of call Kansas’ Ford County Fire Department responded to last week.
Fire officials said the homeowner’s 4-year-old son thought it would be cool to flush the 3-week-old kitten down the toilet.
Firefighters hoped the rescue would be as simple as removing the toilet and removing the young feline, but no such luck.
The kitten was beyond the firefighters’ reach and was wedged just past a bend in the pipe.
With the help of some plumbers, the kitten was rescued about two and a half hours later.
The homeowner said the kitten is doing better, and the family named it Miracle.
