Wawasee Sports Wrap: Aug. 20
JV Volleyball
The Wawasee JV volleyball team found itself some wonderful early-season success. The Warriors hosted their annual invite and were perfect on the day on their way to the championship.
Wawasee topped South Bend Washington for the championship, winning 25-11. No stats were reported.
Girls Golf
A short-handed Wawasee team was unable to find much to salvage at Round Barn Golf Course Saturday morning. Wawasee shot a 415 at the Rochester Invite, but was without No. 2 golfer Madison Beaman who became ill before the match.
The Warriors were led by an 88 from Aubrey Schmeltz. Zoe White (100), Lesley Tayagua (109) and Jadison Rostochak (118) rounded out the scores for Wawasee.
Wawasee (6-3) will play Goshen at Maplecrest on Monday.
