Jack Engledow
Jack Engledow, 77, Wabash, died at 5:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Visiting Nurses and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 14, 1938 in Wabash to Leon and Edna Mae (Ross) Engledow.
Jack was a 1956 graduate of Wabash High School. He married Judith Kaye Gore in Wabash Jan. 26, 1958. He was an auto body and paint man before retiring. In between working at the body shop, spending time with his family and home improvements, he passionately spent time on his Pontiac and Thunderbird. He was a member of the Idlers Car Club and enjoyed classic cars and car shows.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Kaye Engledow, Wabash; two children: Mark (Debbie) Engledow, Wabash; and Tracy Brickley, Huntington; five grandchildren: Amber (Josh) Gray, Carmel; Carrie (Tommy) Le, Fort Wayne; Andrea (Eric) Kloer, Huntington; Jack L. (Stefani) Engledow, Wabash; and Alyssa Brickley, Huntington; three great-grandsons: Jet Le, Hawk Le, both of Fort Wayne; Gabe Engledow, Peru; two brothers: Bobby Lee Engledow, Ravenna, Texas; and Randy (Jan) Engledow, Silver Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion. Friends may call 5-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15 at the funeral home.
