Edna L. Yoder
Edna L. Yoder, 62, Nappanee, died peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016. She had been ill with cancer for three years. Edna was born Oct. 5, 1953, in Elkhart to LeRoy E.G. and Katie N. (Hershberger) Miller. She lived her lifetime in Nappanee. On May 31, 1973, she married Leland R. Yoder.
Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker and did housecleaning. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Mrs. Yoder is survived by her husband: Leland R.; daughters: Rosella Ann (LaVern) Bontrager, Chouteau, Okla.; Ada Arlene (LaVern Allen) Chupp; Alma Marie (Noah LaVon) Miller, both of Nappanee; sons: Steven Lee (Brenda Jean) Yoder, Bremen; Carl Devon (Chrystal) Yoder, Nappanee; 20 grandchildren; sisters: Mary Yoder, Colon, Mich.; Wilma (Albert) Coblentz, Middlefield, Ohio; Alma (Marvin) Bontrager; Barbara (Wayne) Miller, both of Nappanee; and brothers: Ezra Miller, Nappanee; and Herbert (Mary) Miller, Wakarusa. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant granddaughter; sister-in-law: Louise Miller; and brother-in-law: Elias Yoder.
Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, and all day Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the family home. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Devon Hochstetler’s residence (70725 CR 1). Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.
