Virginia J. Lough
Virginia J. Lough, 91, of Winona Lake, IN, passed away at 5:05 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 at Grace Retirement Village in Winona Lake.
She was born on April 14, 1925, to the late Wilbur H. and Jean K. (Wrennick) Hicks in Indianapolis, IN. On September 12, 1944, Virginia married James E. Lough in Indianapolis, IN.
Virginia was a lovely woman. She really enjoyed travelling and gardening. She made beautiful quilts and had exceptional sewing skills. Lake Papakeechie was home for 40 years. She was a long time member of the Wawasee Heights Baptist Church of Syracuse, Berea Baptist Church in Berea, OH, and Cosperville Baptist Church in Wawaka, IN, Grace Bible Baptist in New Paris, IN and made many memories with her church family. Above all of this, spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do.
Surviving is her loving husband of 72 years, James Lough of Winona Lake, IN; three sons, Mark Lough of Onekama, MI, Jeff (Debrah) Lough of Beavercreek, OH, and John (Jo) Lough of Greenbank, WA; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lough was preceded in death by her parents; and brother; Bill Hicks.
A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Lough’s honor at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN, 46767. Pastor Mike Gross will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN. Family and friends will be received on from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
