Parkview Sports Medicine To Donate Portable Water Carts
FORT WAYNE — Parkview Sports Medicine will donate 11 portable water hydration carts to middle schools in the Fort Wayne Community Schools system.
The carts will allow student athletes to stay hydrated while participating in outdoor events like football, soccer, track or cross country.
“It is very important for students participating in outdoor sporting events to be properly hydrated,” said Tommy Schoegler, director of Parkview Sports Medicine. “Keeping young athletes well-hydrated especially in the heat will not only promote a safe environment for sporting activities but a better athletic experience overall.”
”We appreciate the continued support from Parkview Sports Medicine in ensuring our student athletes have access to the equipment they need to compete safely,” Fort Wayne Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson said. “We have a shared goal of making sure our students are well-rounded and have the opportunity to develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime.”
The carts are manufactured locally by Wheelin Water and feature six drinking nozzles with five feet of coiled hose per nozzle. A 20-gallon tank offers easy filling and cleaning and the optional, insulated cover keeps water cold for extended periods of time.
