Pfleiderer Awards $1,000 To Joe’s Kids
WARSAW — The Pfleiderer Charitable Trust recently awarded Joe’s Kids $1,000 to be used for new therapy equipment for their new facility they plan to move to later this year.
Joe’s Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic in Warsaw that provides physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to children with special needs in Kosciusko County and the surrounding areas. Joe’s provides care for children with a wide variety of diagnoses including autism, sensory processing disorders, cerebral palsy, stroke, Down Syndrome and other genetic and developmental disorders.
In the words of Rebecca Bazzoni, executive director of Joe’s Kids, “We take great joy in serving our children and families but cannot do this without the generous support of our community. We are extremely grateful to the Pfleiderer Charitable Trust for coming along side of us to serve these special kids.”
The Pfleiderer Charitable Trust was established by Esther Pfleiderer to assist charitable organizations in Kosciusko County in improving the quality of life in the County. Esther was born and raised in Warsaw and taught math for 39 years in the Warsaw school system. She was also active in the community, serving on the boards of the Salvation Army, Warsaw Community Public Library, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Kosciusko County Historical Society and the ministries of the First Presbyterian Church. In 1982, she was recognized as Warsaw’s Woman of the Year.
