Free Warsaw Comedy Night Aug. 12
WARSAW — Local Warsaw residents are hosting a free Comedy Night at Tourmaline Event Space at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12 to spotlight local groups and artists.
The free event will feature improv group performances and individual stand-up artists, as well as local band Isaac and the Darling. Main on Main Improv Troupe, which performs regularly in North Webster, will also be featured at the event.
Event organizer, Eric Totheroh, said, “We want to create an intimate sort of show that people feel invested in, and want to come back to again and again. Hopefully this fosters a sense of freedom and experimentation for the artists and performers in the area they don’t currently have.”
This event is an initiative to provide low-cost comedy entertainment to residents in the Warsaw area, as well as an opportunity for local comedy artists to practice and share material.
Another event organizer, Madisson Heinl, said, “The Warsaw area is uniquely receptive to the arts. A comedy night where audiences can see local talent and artists can have a safe place to practice their craft is important in this community.”
The comedy night is BYOB and other concessions will be available. Admission is free and seating is first come, first serve. Tourmaline Event Space is located at 208 South Buffalo St., Warsaw. For more information or to get involved, contact Eric Totheroh at [email protected].
