Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:50 a.m. Monday, Aug 8, at South CR 700E and East CR 900S, Sidney. Drivers: Brianna F. White, 21, West Poplar Street, South Whitley, and Holly L. Mohr, 39, East CR 950S, South Whitley. White reported she had stopped at the stop sign at CR 700E. She stated she didn’t see anyone coming. White drove into the path of Mohr’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000. White complained of pain to the chest from the seatbelt and was checked by medics. Mohr complained of leg pain and was transported to Pakview Whitley Hospital by LifeMed EMS, along with three passengers in Mohr’s vehicle.
5:43 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at North CR 800W, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Dakota M. Norman, 19, West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Norman reported he hit a bump in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle rolled over before coming to rest in a cornfield. Damage up to $25,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:31 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at North SR 13 and First Street, North Webster. Drivers: Carrie B. Pratt, 31, North Main Street, Syracuse, and Alyssa C. Stuckman, 19, CR 21, Goshen. Pratt drove into Stuckman’s vehicle’s path. Damage up to $5,000.
10:12 p.m Sunday, Aug. 7, at North SR 13, south of Esterbrook Drive, North Webster. Driver: Zachary R. Horner, 31, Spansail Drive, Niles, Mich. When a North Webster police officer arrived on the scene, he found the vehicle, registered to Horner, unoccupied and facing east in a ditch approximately 10 feet south of SR13 and Esterbrook Drive. The officer reported the vehicle smelled of alcohol and there was an empty beer can located in the rear passenger floor. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at North Indiana Avenue, south of CR 1400 N, Syracuse. Driver: Tori N. Lambright, 21, North Dolan Road, Syracuse. Lambright ran off the road and traveled approximately 100 feet before crashing into a baseball diamond, fence and posts. Damage up to $25,000. Lambright reported that her vehicle did a 360 degree turn after hitting the fence, but cannot recall falling asleep or being distracted at the time of the accident.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Lake City Highway, west of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Kaleb J. Lucas, 29, East 11th Street, Mishawaka, and Roger D. James, 46, South CR 600W, Claypool. Lucas’ vehicle rear-ended James’ causing his vehicle to leave the road and strike a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $25,000. James complained of pain to his knee. Both drivers refused medical attention from EMS that was on scene.
