Area Accident Reports
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Lake City Highway and Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeffery J. Snyder, and Nakrumba Cotton, Cotton and Snyder were driving through a green light at the intersection of Old Road 30, when a firetruck came through the intersection. Cotton applied his brakes, but Snyder didn’t stop in time and his vehicle rear-ended Cotton’s. Damage up to $2,500. Cotton’s passenger complained of head pain and was treated on scene by EMS.
4:29 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at North Detroit Street, north of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amy V. Black, 57, West CR 950S, Akron, Danielle M. Foreman, 19, East Clark Street, Warsaw, and Karli B. Himes, 25, Heide Lane, Milford. All three drivers were southbound on Detroit Street. Foreman and Himes were stopped at a red light at the intersection of Detroit and Center Street, but Black stated she was unable to stop and her vehicle rear-ended Foremans’, who in turn, rear-ended Himes’ vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
10:36 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Anchorage Road and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Sarah J. McGinnis, 55, EMS C7 Lane, Warsaw, Yolanda G. Hedington, 53, Duncan Drive, Warsaw, and Luciel Cuazitl Cielo, 42, East Ridge Drive, Warsaw. All three drivers were traveling west on Anchorage Road. Hedinton and Cuazitl Cielo came to a stop for a red light at the intersection, but McGinnis did not stop in time and her vehicle rear-ended Hedington’s, which in turn rear-ended Cuazitl Cielo’s. Damage up to $2,500. All parties stated they were okay and declined medical treatment.
