Wawasee Girls Golf: Warriors Shoot Well At Huntington
HUNTINGTON — The Wawasee girls golf team played its first tournament of the season Wednesday afternoon. After shooting a 213 in a season opening loss at Columbia City, the Lady Warriors placed seventh in a 15-team field in the Huntington North Invite with a 399. Homestead ran away with the invite title by shooting a 306, Dwenger was second with a 326 while Carroll took third with its score of 340.
Wawasee was paced by Aubrey Schmeltz’s 85. Madison Beaman came in with a 99 for the Warriors while the team’s scores were rounded out by Jadison Rostochak (107) and Zoe White (108).
Wawasee (0-1) will travel to play Whitko and Concord at Sycamore Golf Course Thursday afternoon.
