Mary Ellen Wilson
Mary E. Wilson, 54, Pendleton, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Community Hospital North after fighting a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1961, the daughter of David and Barbara Edwards in North Webster, and graduated from Anderson High School. She attended Purdue University where she was a graduate of the 1984 class. She received a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing.
Mary was an amazingly patient and loving mother. She treasured her role as a wife, caregiver, and best friend to Greg. She touched the lives of many and instilled love, respect, and kindness in all of her ‘children’ that she watched over the past ten years. Mary valued family above everything else. She was a gardener, soccer mom, and she loved creating gifts to share with those she loved. She enjoyed vacationing with her family at her parent’s home on Lake Webster and Gulf Shores, Ala.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years: Greg; her two children: Sarah (Nick Cox), Pendleton; son: Josh (fiance Janae Matzat), Fortville; sister: Joyce (Steven) Staub, Fishers; in-laws: Jim and Glenda Wilson, Pendleton; sister-in-law: Robin (Andy) Klise, Pendleton; and sevreal loved nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her sister: Christine Edwards.
The family would like to thank the nurses in the Progressive Care Unit and Intensive care at Community Hospital North of Indianapolis.
