Betty J. Steiner — UPDATED
Betty J. Steiner, 75, Pierceton, died at 1:25 p.m. July 16, 2016, at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
On June 1, 1941, she was born in in Youngstown, Ohio to Charles and Hazel (McCreary) Mohr. She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the last 45 years. Betty was married Larry Steiner on March 17, 1962 in Kosciusko County, who preceded her in death.
Betty was the Owner of Stuff & Things Trading Post in the 1970’s and was a 30+ year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Pierceton.
She is survived by her daughter: Vickie (Mark) Chase, Goshen; her son Shiloh Steiner, Pierceton; her step daughter, Crystal (and spouse Jason) Dear, Columbia City; four grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Zachary Prater, California; Alexandria Prater, Michigan; Michaela Steiner, Indiana; and Leevi Chase, Indiana.
She was also preceded in death by parents, Charles Mohr and Hazel Thompson and step son, Larry Cardone.
A Celebration of Life will be held Aug. 13, 2016 at the Pierceton American Legion Hall Post 258 at 3 p.m.to 7 p.m. All are welcome to join us say goodbye to Betty.
