Link Accounting Starting Repairs After Driver Crashes Into Building
NORTH WEBSTER — A suspected road rage incident which started at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, ended in a shooting involving an on duty Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy and an individual, who was chasing and shooting at another driver as they both traveled down SR 13 between Syracuse and North Webster.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident ended when a Kosciusko County Deputy slammed his vehicle into a truck involved in the incident as the driver was attempting to make a U-Turn during the police chase. The truck crashed into Link Accounting at 405 S. Main St., North Webster.
Jeff Morgan, owner of Link Accounting, said the office will still remain open, “The files were undamaged, the computers and the conference room are okay,” he said.
As to when the repairs will be finished, Morgan said, “Once the insurance clears pretty quickly.” More damage was done to the outside of the structure, rather than inside.
Morgan said he appreciates all the officers who responded and ended this incident fairly quickly.
