Symphony Of The Lakes To Hold Auditions For 2016-17 Season
WARSAW — The Symphony of the Lakes announced auditions for its upcoming 2016-17 season of concerts. Part of the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts family of organizations, the Symphony of the Lakes is a professional symphony headquartered in Warsaw, Ind. The Symphony’s 2016-17 season features six events, including five orchestra concerts and one chamber concert.
The auditions will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, located at 210 South High Street in Warsaw. Those interested in auditioning should visit the Wagon Wheel website or here. Candidates will be notified of their audition time via email on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Positions are paid per service and reimbursed for mileage to and from rehearsals and concerts. Positions up for auditions are: Section Violin one and two, Section Viola, Section Cello, Section Bass, Flute Three/Piccolo, Principal Trumpet, Trumpet two and three, Principal Horn, Principal Percussion, and Section Percussion. All of those instruments, in addition to Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trombone, and Tuba will also be open to substitute-only auditions.
