WARSAW — The following events are held at the Community Career Center, adjacent to Goodwill Retail Store at 751 Anchorage Point Drive, Warsaw.
Internet Basics Workshop
10-11a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4
3-4 pm. Tuesday Aug. 9
10-11 a.m Thursday Aug. 11
This is a three class series introducing people to the internet and how to use it. The class will cover many internet features and how to utilize resources such as: e-mail, search engines and web browsers. This event is free and open to the general public.
KGP Logistics Hiring Event
9 a.m. to 1 p.m Monday, Aug. 15
A hiring event with KGP Logistics. Representatives from KGP Logistics will be meeting applicants and conducting interviews at the Warsaw Career Center. Candidates should arrive dressed in business or business casual attire and bring a current resume. We can print, edit, update, or build a new resume for those who visit the Career Center in advance to prepare for this event. All services are free.
E-mail Basics Workshop
3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16
10-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18
This is a two class event that features an introduction to e-mail. It will cover setting up and sending e-mail, reply options and archiving messages. Profile setting, filtering messages and attaching documents will also be discussed. This event is free and open to the public.
Typing Workshop
10-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25
3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30
This is a two class event that will guide participants through several tutorials to become effective typists. The class will cater to those seeking introductory knowledge and skills, as well as those who want to further their typing abilities. It may also include typing a basic letter using Microsoft Word.
