Juanita Condinho-UPDATED
Juanita Condinho passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. Juanita was 81 at the time of her passing.
Born on Jan. 19, 1935, in Prestonsburg, Ky., she was the daughter of Henry and Haley (Meade) Harmon.
On Aug. 29, 1977, Juanita was married to Edwin Condinho in Cecil County, Md. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1993.
Juanita had worked at Waltham Hospital in Waltham, Mass. It was there she retired after 22 years of continuous service.
She loved dogs and had a special relationship with each of her own. She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of roses. She also loved to bake and cook, often sharing her efforts with others.
Juanita is survived by a large family which includes two daughters: Charlene Grindle, North Manchester; and Ilene Grindle, Fort Wayne; stepdaughter: Diane Shoffner, Warsaw; stepson: Joseph Condinho, Warsaw; two brothers: Thomas Harmon, Warsaw; and Larry (Deb) Harmon, rural Wabash county; and two sisters: Sylvia (Delmer) Whitaker, Warsaw; and Bessie Frazier, Warsaw. Also surviving is a large extended family. In addition to her husband: Edwin Condinho; Juanita was preceded in passing by a brother: James Harmon; five sisters: Julia Baldridge; Ella Rose Harmon; Wanda Cox; Helen Korb; and Edna Baldridge; and two stepsisters: Ann Holdren; and Pauline Golliver.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Juanita Condinho will take place at 1 p.m. in the funeral home; Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate. Burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
The family has asked that gifts in Juanita’s memory be made to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, Warsaw.
