Jennifer Kay Hanish
Jennifer Kay Hanish, 45, Akron, died at 6:34 a.m. July, 18, 2016 in her home.
She was born March 24, 1971 in Valparaiso to John and Dorothy (Hoagland) Hanish. She was a 1989 graduate of Hebron High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and decorating, socializing and dancing. She was a gifted poet; was nonjudgemental and accepting of others. She was big hearted and always willing to help in any way she could. Most of all she loved her family and being a apart of family functions.
She is survived by her best friend and soul mate of 22 years: Troy Denton, Akron; her two sons: Tyler (companion Tori Furnival) Hanish, Rochester; Cody Denton, home; and a daughter: Angela Denton, home; three grandchildren: Jonathan Hanish, Adrien Hanish and Cayden Furnival; her parents; her father-in-law: David Denton, Hebron; her five sisters: Sharon Prentice, Hobart; Roxanne (Mike) Collins, Fair Oaks; Minnie (Kevin) Trump, Warsaw; Melinda (Mark) Opachan, Hawaii; Beth Ann (Mario) Valtiers, Lowell; three brothers: Ray Hanish, Claypool; Ron Furst, Crown Point; John (Rhonda) Hanish, Jasonville; maternal grandparents: Russell and Lois Hoagland, Hebron; paternal grandparents: Chuck and Myrtle Hanish, Schererville.
