67th State Water Ski ‘Ships Coming To Cindonway
SYRACUSE – The 2016 Indiana State Water Ski Championships will be held July 23-24 at Cindonway Shores near Syracuse. WSI Ski Team of Cindonway will be the host club sanctioning the event thru USA Water Ski, and Bart’s Water Sports will be the title sponsor for the event.
This state tournament for individual competition in slalom, tricks and jumping will be the 67th annual state championships in Indiana. The skill level of the competitors will be beginners of all ages thru some of the top ranked skiers in the world. The current world slalom record holder Nate Smith is expected in slalom as is Jarod Sharkey in tricks and Briant Detty in jumping.
This event is open to the public to view with no admission charge, just bring a lawn chair and sit on the hill overlooking the lake. Competition will begin Saturday at 8 a.m. Slalom competition will begin in the morning followed by tricks and jump skiing.
