Parade Highlights Of 2016
WARSAW — The parade for the Kosciusko Community Fair will be a long one this year, covering almost 20 blocks through the town of Warsaw. The parade will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10.
Lineup begins at 2 p.m. and will be at Boggs Industrial Park in the Century Link parking lot. Check in will be on the corner of West Center Street, West Market Street and South Hand Street. Participants should enter by way of Market Street.
The parade will route along Center Street, to Bronson Street and then back to the fairgrounds.
The categories for parade entries are 4-H, Antique Vehicle, Float, Equestrian, Commercial, Best of Theme, Club and Walking Unit. Because of the length of the parade this year, all walking units must have a motorized unit accompanying them that is able to fit all walking members in case members need rest. No walking only units will be allowed.
There is to be no handing out or throwing items from any moving vehicle. A responsible person walking adjacent to respective entry and close to the curb line may give handouts.
The theme of the fair is “100 Years of Memories,” although attendees do not have to follow this theme.
An 8 a.m. sunrise church service will be held at the fairground event center on Sunday as well. At 5:30 p.m., the 100th annual opening ceremonies will commence in the event center at 7 p.m.
