ATWOOD — Anthony Wayne Miller, 34, 111 E. High St., Atwood, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony and a class A misdemeanor domestic battery.
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of domestic battery at Miller’s residence. When officers arrived they spoke with Miller’s wife who officers reported had been crying and had scrapes on her knees.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, Miller’s wife stated she and Miller had been arguing when he knocked her down from behind, causing the injuries to her knees.
One of the officers noticed Miller’s wife’s dress was ripped and she had marks on her back and her shoulders. She said the marks and ripped dress were a result of Miller throwing her around the yard.
When officers spoke with Miller he reported nothing had happened, but a minor in the residence stated she saw what had happened between the two.
Miller is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail without bail.
