Julie Ann Amsden
Julie Ann Amsden, 74, Bourbon, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, in her home unexpectedly.
Julie was born the daughter of Floyd and Mariagnes (Lemler) Hartzell, May 11, 1943, in Warsaw. She was a graduate of Bremen High School; a faithful member of the Bourbon First United Pentecostal Church where her church family was her life. Barbara was a retired from the former LEAR Corporation.
On July 22, 1961, she married James (Jim) Amsden who survives; along with her children: Lisa Schwenke, Dallas, Texas; John (Ruby) Amsden, Palm City, Fla.; Patty Amsden, Memphis, Tenn.; Carl (Jessica) Amsden, Bourbon; Amber Amsden, South Bend; Kaiah Rose Amsden, Tupelo, Miss.; and Nathaniel Amsden, Bourbon. She was further blessed with 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister: Norma Schaetzle Barrett, Granger; brothers: Tim Hartzell, Bourbon; and William (Bill) Hartzell, Pensacola, Fla. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd; Mariagnes; and Melba; and her brother: Mike.
In honoring her wishes there will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be held at the Bourbon First United Pentecostal Church. Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Tupelo Children’s Mansion.
