Alma Hensley-UPDATED
Alma (Craft) Hensley, 85, Plymouth, and formerly of the Argos community, died at 1 p.m. June 26, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, following a very lengthy illness.
Alma was born on Oct. 17, 1930, in Jackson, Ky., to Clifton Craft and Meadie (Hensley) Craft and had lived in Argos since 1952 coming from Gauge, Ky. On Feb. 27, 1950, in Brethitt County, Ky. she married Clay Hensley; he preceded her on March 13, 2010. She was a homemaker/housewife and a member of the Argos Church of Jesus Christ, Argos.
Alma is survived by her daughters: Joyce Ann Wilhelm, Argos; and Norma Jean (Don) Ruh, Argos; sons: Jerry Hensley, Argos; Stanley Hensley, Plymouth; and Randy (Anne) Hensley, Argos; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; a sister: Faye (Leonard) Montgomery, Tifton, Ohio; and a brother: Grover (Janice) Craft, Tippecanoe. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister: Ruth Miller; brother: James Craft; four half-brothers; and three half-sisters; and a daughter: Donna Mae Hensley.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, June 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos, with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Argos Church of Jesus Christ officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Earl-Grossman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
