Matthews Visit Highlights Cubs Homestand
SOUTH BEND – The South Bend Cubs have announced their next homestand schedule which includes a special appearance by 1983 MVP and former Chicago Cubs outfielder Gary Matthews. It also includes the first of two Business Person’s Special of the summer on Wednesday, June 29. First pitch is at 1:05 p.m.
All homestand games take place at Four Winds Field, 501 W. South Street, South Bend. Tickets can be purchased online at SouthBendCubs.com or by calling the Box Office at (574) 235-9988.
Monday, June 27 vs Lake County Captains, 7:05 p.m.
Gates open at 6 p.m.
Gary Matthews appearance: Former Chicago Cubs outfielder and the 1983 National League Championship Series MVP Gary Matthews comes to Four Winds Field. VIP ticket/food/meet-and-greet package available.
Belly Buster Monday: All-you-can-eat hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn with the purchase of an $8 wristband. (Offer must be purchased with game ticket.)
Tuesday, June 28 vs Lake County Captains, 7:05 p.m.
Gates open at 6 p.m.
Clark the Cub, the official mascot of the Chicago Cubs, makes an appearance at Four Winds Field.
Two Dollar Tuesday: This week’s special: $2 Speed Pitch Game.
Wednesday, June 29 vs. Lake County Captains, 1:05 p.m.
Gates open at noon.
Business Person’s Special: Enjoy a weekday afternoon game with the South Bend Cubs.
Silver Slugger Day: Any adult age 60 and older can purchase a ticket for just $6.
Thursday, June 30 vs. Lake County Captains, 7:05 p.m.
Gates open at 6 p.m.
Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy $2 domestic 16-ounce draft beer and regular 22-ounce fountain sodas all game long.
Friday, July 1 vs. Lansing Lugnuts, 7:35 p.m.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Fantastic Friday Fireworks: Begin immediately following the game.
Saturday, July 2 vs Lansing Lugnuts, 7:35 p.m.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Independence Day Celebration: The South Bend Cubs will be wearing special USA-themed jerseys. During each game, fans can bid on their favorite player’s jersey in a silent auction which ends after Sunday’s game. Proceeds from the silent auction benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Flat Screen Saturday: Every inning, one fan in attendance will win a 50-inch flat screen TV.
Fireworks Extravaganza: Begin immediately following the game.
