Kosciusko Still Under Hazardous Weather Outlook
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — While Kosciusko County and surrounding counties remain under a hazardous weather outlook, areas to the west are beginning to see an increase in severe weather risk.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for several counties along the western edge of Indiana, including Benton, Newton, Jasper, Porter and Lake counties. This will remain in effect until 1 a.m. Central Daylight Time, which is 2 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
A tornado watch means there is a possibility that a tornado could develop; it is not the same thing as a warning, which are issued when a tornado has been spotted and confirmed. For more information about watches vs. warnings, click here.
