Cutie Contestants Displayed Grandeur On North Webster’s Main Street
NORTH WEBSTER — Little Cutie contestants displayed their grandeur during the Cutie Parade as part of the 2016 North Webster Mermaid Festival, Wednesday, June 22.
The rain did not wash away any smiles, as the kids waved to the crowd gathered on the sides of Main Street in North Webster.
There was a total of 80 contestants, each escorted by a parent or parents, and some had their friends alongside.
The categories that the participants will be judged in are walking, hand-drawn, motorized and the overall best theme.
This year, the theme is “Indiana Bicentennial.” Winners in the various categories will be given cash prizes. First place will be awarded $5,000, second: $2,500, third: $1,500 and fourth: $1,000.
The prize money is provided by The Shoop Sports and Youth Foundation, Inc. in memory of J. Homer Shoop. The parade is sponsored by the North Webster Lions Club.
Parade winners will be announced June 24 during the intermission of the Cutie Pageant.
