SYRACUSE — Upcoming events and programs for Syracuse Public Library.
Zoo, Magic, and Who
Families can look forward to the end of the week when the Fort Wayne Zoo brings a variety of animals to the Syracuse Library. Children will learn about the animals and their habitats while getting an up close view at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25. There are many opportunities to read for ice cream and rewards during the week, look to the newsletter for specifics. Daniel Lusk, a magician and head of Lusk Entertainment Group, is bringing his show to the library at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21. Game day for children is at 2 p.m. Thursday. Newly released movies play at 10 a.m. each Friday.
The Doctor Who group is playing I Spy with the special feature from the feature film last month. The group is working on a creating a full catalog of horrors for a Would You Rather game. Last month the theme food was a bursting galaxy float. What will this month’s food be? You don’t have to be a knowledgeable fan to enjoy Meet the Doctor at the Syracuse Library at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.
More Than Books
This summer patrons can go to their home library to check-out an Indiana State Parks pass. The pass can be used for up to a week and for two weeks during the year according to the rules offered by the Syracuse Library. Walk-in check-outs are possible, but the card can be reserved in advance. Information about availability can be provided at the adult circulation desk or by calling (574) 457-3022. The pass is provided by the Indiana State Library and the DNR Centennial Celebration.
