Charles Leroy Leiter — UPDATED
Charles “Chuck” “Chuckles” Leroy Leiter, Warsaw, will be deeply missed and is now in the care of Jesus Christ as of 3:15 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, at the age of 53. He was surrounded by his loving family and his adoring wife.
He was born on Aug. 27, 1962 in Whitley County to the late Judy (Melick) Schmidt and Tony Camacho. His adoptive parents were the late Richard and Josephine Leiter. On Aug. 26, 2010 he was married to June (George) Leiter, who survives in Warsaw.
Chuck graduated with honors from Warsaw High School in 1981. He was a successful salesman and businessman known for his faithfulness, integrity, and commitment to meeting the needs of his customers in sales of office equipment and various other sales positions. He excelled at whatever he did. Chuck had a heart for those in need and encouraged many people with wit, truth and love. He was also an avid football enthusiast, believed in America and democracy, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and gardening…but most of all he was totally devoted to tenderly loving and enjoying his wife.
He is survived by his wife: June Leiter; three step children: Nathan and Curtis George; Megan (husband Garrett) Zorn; two grandchildren: Taylee and Isaac Zorn, his pride and joy. Chuck had many siblings: Tony Camacho, Tonya Camacho, Thomas Leiter, the late Edward Leiter, Terry Leiter, and Ruth and her husband Jim Guffy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and adoptive parents.
The family extends an open invitation to anyone who would like to attend Chuck’s memorial service which will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach, 744 S. 325 E., Warsaw, and officiated by Steve Slabach. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
