Teegan Michael Brumbaugh
Teegan Michael Brumbaugh, 20, a resident of Green Township, passed away at 4:51 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, from the results of an accident in rural Whitley County.
Teegan was born in Fort Wayne on June 19, 1995, a son of Michael L. and Carla (Peterson) Brumbaugh, and was a lifelong resident of Green Township in Noble County. He graduated from Churubusco High School in 2014, where he participated in basketball and ran track. He excelled in football there and was selected to participate in the all-state North-South football game his senior year. Since his high school graduation he was studying agriculture at Ivy Tech Community College, and was employed by Pettigrew Farms in Columbia City.
Active in 4-H in Green Township for ten years, he received the grand champion market steer at the Indiana State Fair in 2013. He was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of God, north of Churubusco, and the Noble County Sheep Committee. His friends and family will remember Teegan for his contagious smile, outgoing personality, and sense of humor. He was a best friend to all.
The surviving relatives include his parents: Mike and Carla Brumbaugh of Albion; his two sisters Courtney (fiancée Ben Lemmon) Brumbaugh and Katie (Austin Weber) Brumbaugh, both of Albion; the paternal grandmother: Janet Brumbaugh of Albion; the maternal grandparents: Gary and Nancy Peterson of Ligonier; several aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and his girlfriend Kristen Bales of Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Loren “Jake” Brumbaugh; and by a cousin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at the Sugar Grove Church of God with Pastor Timothy Grable, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 2-8 p.m. or one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning.
Interment will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
