Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
11:41 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandon A. Rice, 34, North CR 350W, Warsaw, and Spencer T. Putt, 28, Worthington Drive, Fort Wayne. Rice’s vehicle rear-ended Putt’s vehicle, which was stopped at a red light. Putt and a passenger in his vehicle, Stacy L. Carroll, 22, Riedmiller Avenue, Fort Wayne, complained of sore necks but declined medical treatment. Damage up to $10,000.
4:41 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, East CR 250S west of East Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert T. Stevenson, 21, East CR 250S Warsaw, and Tom A. Whitehead, 54, West CR 200S, Warsaw. Stevenson pulled his vehicle out of a driveway into the path of Whitehead’s oncoming vehicle and they collided. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:26 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, West CR 300N and Shelden Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Alec L. Hammel, 17, Glad Street, Warsaw, and Alberto A. Aguilar, 22, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Hammel proceeded into the intersection and his vehicle collided with Aguilar’s. A witness confirmed this account. Hammel was issued a citation. Damage up to $25,000.
4:12 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, East Center Street and North Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dana C. Motoarga, 54, Shawnee Drive, Warsaw, and Walter H. Hazelett, 72, West CR 300S, South Whitley. Motoarga became distracted and her vehicle rear-ended Hazelett’s, which was stopped at a red light. Motoarga had minor abrasions and was disoriented. Damage up to $5,000.
1:31 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, South Buffalo Street and Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Velma J. Craft, 51, South Lake Street, Warsaw, Kody D. Popenfoose, 22, East Market Street, Warsaw, Kalpana Bobba, 40, Kuder Lane, Warsaw, and Sheila J. Wilson, 63, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Witnesses and other drivers stated Craft, eastbound on Prairie Street, disregarded the stoplight and her vehicle collided with Popenfoose’s northbound vehicle, pushing it into Bobba’s and Wilson’s vehicles, which were sitting at the red light, westbound. Craft was cited for disregarding a traffic signal and driving without financial responsibility. Craft was taken to Parkview, Warsaw, with complaints of pain in her lower back. A passenger in Craft’s vehicle, Alexis Craft, 13, Warsaw, was also taken to Parkview, Warsaw, with complaints of pain in her leg. Popenfoose complained of pain in his knee and back but declined medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
