FORT WAYNE – Austin Allen blasted a two-run homer in a four-run sixth inning that propelled the TinCaps to a 4-1 victory over the Dayton Dragons on Saturday night at Parkview Field.
Allen brought home Michael Gettys, who opened the frame with a single.
Following a Carlos Belen flyout, Jhonatan Pena laced a single and Ty France walked. Peña scored on Ruddy Giron’s RBI single, and France advanced to third on a throwing error. He scored on a wild pitch.
Pitching sealed the win for Fort Wayne (30-26), which evened the series at a game apiece.
