Akers Involved In Two-Vehicle Crash
NEW PARIS — Warsaw resident Paul Akers, 62, sustained no injuries in a two-vehicle accident that sent the other driver to the hospital.
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded at about 9 a.m. Friday, May 27, to calls about an accident at SR 15 and CR 146 just south of New Paris.
According to police reports, a 2011 Ford F350, driven by Paul E. Kline, 71, Roann, was northbound on SR 15 behind a 2006 Freightliner, driven by Akers. Kline attempted to pass Akers’ truck on the right, however the truck bumped Kline’s vehicle, causing it to spin.
